Hi!
We have a number of customers abroad and are experiencing a significant delay with parcels due to limited flights from the US to specific countries and restrictions in custom processing facilities. We have orders from March that are still sitting at international transport hubs in LA and San Fran awaiting a flight. Just spoke with business support at USPS and they confirmed that yes parcels are taking 8 to 12 weeks to arrive. They are suggesting that we either not ship abroad currently or add a blurb to our shipping section at checkout where international customers need to acknowledge that they are placing the order knowing that it may take 8 to 12 weeks to arrive....
Looking for suggestions from other AllProWebTools business customers, where on your website have you placed any type of COVID 19 shipping memo for your international customers?
From AllProWebTools support, is this even possible to have all customers with an international address that are trying to checkout that they would have to check a box that they are acknowleding the shipping delay and placing the order knowing this?

There is a "Terms and Conditions" checkbox requirement that can be added to your checkout screen. You can find it from the main menu: settings->website then click on "Terms and Conditions".
The "I accept verbiage" is what will be printed next to the check box, you can type out all of your terms in the box that says "Terms and Conditions". This feature will apply to all online orders and does not discriminate if the customer is ordering domestic or international - so you may want to consider this in the verbiage.
Alternatively, you could also add a message to the checkout screen without requiring the customer to check a checkbox. This can be configured from the main menu: store->shipping manager. Once on this page, click "Set Shipping Text" and update the verbiage there.
It appears that you requested this text to be removed from your website theme a few years back - once you have updated the verbiage, let us know and we can re-enable this in your website theme.

Ok thank you for our options!
We actually already have text in the "set shipping text" field that displays in our checkout screen....not sure what was removed a couple years back but whatever I type in displays correctly in the checkout screen. I'll either just edit this text or create a terms and conditions checkbox.

Re: COVID-19 Shipping memo update-looking for suggestions
Just added the terms and conditions blurb, a few questions:
1) Is there a away to have the terms display without having to "click here to view"?
2) The text size in the input screen is much smaller than what displays in the checkout screen....in the checkout screen it's rather large and looks bad 3) Is there a way to have line breaks or paragraph breaks? Right now it is just lumping all the text into one paragraph which does not communicate to the customer clearly. On the "set terms and conditions" input screen there are line breaks to organize the terms so it's easier for the customer to read.

We've updated the box so it now displays carriage returns. If you want additional styling (such as showing the box without the click to view), please contact support and level 2 support can accommodate changing your custom theme.
