Line Item edit on Invoicing during creation and after
When creating an invoice, need the ability to change or edit a line when necessary. Sometimes after the invoice has been created, the need arises to edit the invoice. Maybe add another line, or delete a line charge, or edit qty, or change a price. Clients who have moved to doing their AR in AllProWebTools from Quickbooks are missing this ability. ~ Brenda Bowen

Re: Line Item edit on Invoicing during creation and after
Thanks for this suggestion!
AllProWebTools does offer the ability to make changes to a pending order, just not a completed order.
The difference is (after entering all line items) if you have clicked the "Create Order" at the bottom of the screen. Many users don't realize that you can actually enter a number of line items, and then simply navigate away from the screen and the order is already saved. By clicking the "Create Order" button, you are "locking" the order and indicating that there will be no more changes. This differs from how QuickBooks operates in that there is no "locking" method and orders can be changed at anytime.
By creating a pending order in AllProWebTools, you can calculate the subtotal, add shipping and tax, and more. The pending order is stored until you delete it and will show up on the Workflow TImeline and under the customers account as an "abandoned cart". You can retrieve the pending order at any time and remove and add items as needed. We recommend only "locking" the order (by clicking the "Create Order" button) once the customer is ready to pay the amount indicated on the pending order.
We understand that this recommended workflow may be different from what some users are used to, and we are investigating ways to improve the interface. Until that time, we believe you can still accomplish your goals with the above recommended workflow.

Re: Line Item edit on Invoicing during creation and after
We are planning to improve this functionality as you have suggested over the next 2 versions (4.5 and 4.6). Version 4.5 will include a new "Save" button that will allow you to save an invoice without locking it.
Version 4.6 is planned to include new invoicing and quoting formats including:
We have just released a new video that helps to explain how to edit invoices that have not yet been locked in version 4.4:
