alt text partially displaying on website

Post by Lfrailey173 »

Hi!
We did a screenshare last week with Tommie as almost all of our alt text is missing from images on our website. He showed how to add the alt text for our blog images however now parts of the alt text is showing on the actually blog page under the image with a ">" and in the back end on the blog there is now "<a href=" in place of where the alt text that's on the blog page used to be....what's going on? How do we fix this?

HTML does not allow
<a href
to be placed inside of an alt attribute.

You can learn more about this HTML attribute here: https://www.w3schools.com/tags/att_img_alt.asp

when we did the screenshare with Tommie we did not put the "<a href" in at all. It has just appeared there after the fact.

Almost all of our alt text is missing from our website. Tommie should us how to add alt text to our images. For the blog images he asked us to input the alternative text in the alternative text field and click save. So in the blog example we had input "be healthy with noni fruit" and then saved. A few days later when we viewed the blog on our website we noticed the "noni fruit "> under the image......

Looked at the link you suggested but it does not show how to use the AllProWebTools system for adding and saving alt text properly....How do we input the alternative text and have it actually save correctly?

Tried it again....

Used this blog https://www.realnoni.com/Noni-Fruit-Lea ... ant-Power/
Changed the alternative text for the blog image to "noni fruit and noni fruit leather" and clicked save on Nov 3rd. Image below

Then went to the url https://www.realnoni.com/Noni-Fruit-Lea ... ant-Power/ and it was fixed Nov 3rd. Image below

Then checked today Nov 4th and it's back to showing the "Noni fruit and <a href" in the blog backend and the "=noni fruit leather">" on the actual blog url page. Image below...please advise how we fix this. The AllProWebTools system appears to be adding the <a href" overnight.....why?
