Can we hide pages from search engines?

Hello,

I was just wondering if APWT gives the option to hide a page from search engines, in the event that we don't want it to be discoverable at the time of its creation. Weebly has that option, so I know the functionality is possible, but if APWT has an option for that, I'm having trouble finding it.

Thanks!

Yes, to do this you will add the URL to your robots.txt file. You can access this from the main menu by choosing "settings"->"administrator". You will see a files list on the left, scroll until you see robots.txt. Click on this file and then add the entry there.

For more information on robots.txt see this link: https://developers.google.com/search/do ... robots-txt

Each search engine also provides a method for excluding pages from search. For Google, you will access this from your Google Search Console as explained here: https://search.google.com/search-console/about
