Test email
I've sent myself a couple of test emails and they never arrived. How do I fix this?

Re: Test email
First thing to check is your Mandrill account. When you login make sure that you trial has not expired. After that go to Outbound on the left side and check to see it your test emails are there. Let me know I would love to help!

Re: Test email
Paige: I don't see an outbound. I'm at my dashboard. And it's not a trial. I'm using your emails first.

Re: Test email
One more thing. The time stamp that reports when an email has been sent says 00:00:00 for today

Re: Test email
Dan, sorry if I miscommunicated before. You will need to login to your mandrillapp.com account to see the Outbound menu and to see if your Mandrill account is in trial mode.
The 00:00:00 just means that a test email was sent, we do not track these as official emails.

Re: Test email
I'm not quite sure how to connect Mandrill with my APW emails. Do you have the information or is it on the Mandrill site?
Is that how you send email from APW? Does the email have my [email protected] return email address so it doesn't end up in the junk folder?

Re: Test email
Mandrill is our recommended solution for sending emails. It is the most secure we have found and rarely goes into spam if set up properly.
Here is a video that walks you through how to set it up and attach it to your AllProWebTools

Paige:
You lost me at the discussion of DKIM and SPF. Where does the text string get pasted into? I don't use GoDaddy.
And the domain for the sending domains is simply danraabetraining.com not the email address with [email protected]

Re: Test email
You can find this out by going to https://who.godaddy.com and typing in your domain name, you will need to change your records on your nameserver. So if you look at yours it is Bluehost, so in this case Bluehost is replacing GoDaddy in the video.
Correct, danraabetraining.com is the sending domain.

Re: Test email
I inserted the information. One curious point. If I am sending email through bluehost and through APW what will that SPF entry look like.
Here's an example of what I pasted into the TXT record:
v=spf1 a mx ptr include:bluehost.com, include:spf.mandrillapp.com ?all
Mandrill didn't report it wrong but there was an error:
The first had something to do with it taking more than 10 DNS lookups
The second I just got which told me to remove the comma -An unexpected error occurred while checking your domain: SPF Permanent Error: Do not separate mechnisms with commas: include:bluehost.com,
I'll remove it and see what it says.

Re: Test email
Mandrill tells you what the SPF should be with you existing SPF if you click on the View Error Details link by SPF on your sending domain.
